A Year of Momentum at Guident: Human-in-the-Loop Autonomy in Action
This year marked significant momentum for Guident as we continued turning advanced autonomy into real, operational systems deployed in everyday environments. Across public transportation corridors, urban centers, large facilities, and national industry stages, Guident demonstrated how human-in-the-loop oversight, intelligent teleoperation, and real-time situational awareness can move autonomous technology from promise to practice.
At the center of these efforts was Guident’s Remote Monitor and Control Center (RMCC), which continued to evolve as a foundational safety and operations platform. Throughout the year, the RMCC supported autonomous shuttles, buses, and robotic systems through real-time monitoring, remote assistance, and remote driving when needed—ensuring safe, scalable operations across deployments.

From Vision to Reality
Guident’s leadership in teleoperation was highlighted by an industry-first U.S. demonstration of long-distance remote operation of a full-size autonomous electric bus—showcasing how trained human operators, supported by Guident’s RMCC, can safely intervene in complex or edge-case scenarios. Guident also co-hosted the annual National Autonomous Vehicle Day conference with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), sharing real-world operational insight with transportation agencies, manufacturers, and policymakers focused on deployment-ready autonomy.

RMCC capabilities also supported Guident’s expanding role in autonomous urban mobility through MiCa, an SAE Level 4 autonomous electric shuttle. MiCa operated in downtown West Palm Beach, demonstrating safe interaction with vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians while collecting valuable operational data. In Boca Raton, Guident worked with city partners to bring MiCa from planning to launch readiness, supporting the city’s first autonomous shuttle service in the Mizner Park area.

Beyond transportation, Guident expanded real-world deployments of WatchBot, our AI-powered inspection and surveillance robot. WatchBot entered operational use across corporate and industrial environments, including business facilities and waste and recycling facilities—demonstrating how autonomous patrols, AI-driven inspections, and real-time alerts can enhance safety, reduce risk, and improve operational efficiency.

Guident also strengthened the ecosystem needed to responsibly scale autonomy. Through collaboration with Florida Atlantic University’s Sensing Institute, Guident supported advanced urban mapping and data-driven insights to help cities better understand complex mobility environments. The company also joined the ACES Mobility Coalition, contributing to collaborative and interoperable approaches shaping the future of autonomous, connected, electric, and shared mobility.
Behind the scenes, Guident reinforced trust and protection across its platforms. The company achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, validating a comprehensive Information Security Management System, and expanded its global intellectual property portfolio with additional patents protecting its AI-powered remote monitor and control technologies.
The Road Ahead
Looking ahead, Guident is preparing for its next chapter. Building on this year’s momentum, we’re focused on scaling deployments and expanding our impact—anchored by our RMCC platform and a growing ecosystem of cities and operators.
“This year showed what’s possible when autonomy is paired with accountability and collaboration,” said Harald Braun, Executive Chairman and CEO of Guident. “As we move into our next phase of growth, our focus is on building long-term value through trusted operations, strong partnerships, and
human-centered autonomous safety technologies.”
