Dear Partner,

We are delighted to share significant milestones in our journey with you.

Guident's Strategic Partnership with Adastec

It is with great enthusiasm that we announce our Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA) with ADASTEC, signed in Brussels, Belgium, in October. ADASTEC Corp., headquartered in Michigan, USA, boasts a strong R&D presence in Istanbul, Turkey. Additionally, they have offices in Brabant, the Netherlands, and Stockholm, Sweden. This pioneering software company is dedicated to propelling the realm of automated and connected public transportation forward.

Leveraging its SAE Level-4 Automated Driving Software Platform, flowride.ai, ADASTEC collaborates with bus OEMs globally. The integration of flowride.ai enables buses manufactured by KARSAN and Vicinity Motor Corp. to achieve SAE Level-4 automated bus operations. By combining flowride.ai with Guident's teleoperation solution, we are collectively spearheading the next phase of public transportation, adapting to the emerging needs of mobility services.

Our philosophy and commitment to deploying the safest and most efficient automated public transportation is in perfect alignment with ADASTEC, and our Remote Monitor and Control Center (RMCC) solution will see its first integration in ADASTEC's automated buses likely in Q4 2023.

Guident is pleased to announce the successful acceptance from the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) for its advanced RMCC solution. This milestone in the partnership between Guident and JTA's Test and Learn facility, enables them to utilize the RMCC platform for teleoperating Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) within their facilities, fostering testing of future deployment opportunities for automation of public transportation within Jacksonville.

NOTEWORTHY

In this exclusive section, we shine a spotlight on the remarkable individuals and innovations shaping the AV industry.

In the last newsletter, we reported on our grant from Space Florida to demonstrate the use of satellite communication networks for autonomous vehicles or devices teleoperation as an alternative to terrestrial wireless networks. Our efforts toward a June 2024 milestone are progressing and will also include the ability to switch between communication networks based on real-time network performance measurements. This project is being conducted jointly with Novelsat of Israel, a leading supplier of satellite communication services.
